To promote, establish, develop, and appropriate rural technologies by creating employment or any other activity for the benefit of rural people.
Agriculture:
To improve the infrastructure for storage of agro products and promote harvest and post harvest technologies, usage of quality seeds, bio fertilizers, pesticides and techniques, assist business clients in agri projects.
Providing technical consultancy services in Agri Business. Educate farmers regarding new technologies and motivate to export and market the agri goods and impart management, training to young students.
Technology Transfer: To act as facilitator for urban and rural industries to adopt foreign and indigenous technologies to improve the quality, performance, profits and competitiveness.
Other objectives
To undertake projects for socio-economic, technological and Industrial Development of India, studies relating to all latest technologies on global basis, to achieve improved productivity and efficiency. Undertake various other activities such as seminars, workshops, exhibitions, industrial clinics, Training cum Production Centres.
To associate and extend the helping hand to NGO's working in the following fields:
a) Market intelligence and appropriate marketing strategies.
b) Techno-economic studies.
c) Project profiles and feasibility studies in respect of industries.
d) Technical and administrative assistance for improving the productivity
of industrial concerns.
e) Industrial, Management and Financial Consultants.
f) Organizing "Information Cell and Data Bank" relating to industrial
and economic activities and providing information for development
of industries.
g) Sponsoring, conducting and accepting sponsorship of research
relating to industrial development.
h) Setting up and organizing laboratories, centers, machine shops
and workshops, standardization units and designing and testing
facilities.
i) Providing technical service and advise for setting up of
industrial estates.
